Engie Brasil has hired Veirano Advogados to buy a power transmission line concessionaire from the Brazilian subsidiary of Indian Sterlite Technologies for 410 million reais (US$108 million).
The seller turned to Machado Meyer Advogados for the deal, which closed on 3 March.
The deal hands Engie Brasil the entire stake in Sterlite Novo Estado Energia, which holds a concession to build 1,800 kilometres of transmission lines in the northern states of Pará and Tocantins.
