Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados has helped Brazilian mining company Vale seal a US$1.4 billion joint venture with power company Cemig, the latest step in the miner’s reorganisation of its energy generation assets.
Minas Gerais-based power company Cemig was advised by Rolim, Viotti & Leite Campos Advogados in the transaction, which closed on 27 February.
The estimated market value of the assets involved in the joint venture is 4.5 billion reais (US$1.4 billion).
